Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22nd to raise awareness and promote environmental protection. It serves as a reminder of the importance of taking care of our planet and preserving it for future generations.

First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day has grown into a global movement that brings together individuals, communities, organizations, and governments to take action towards creating a more sustainable and eco-friendlier world. It serves as a platform to educate people about pressing environmental issues such as climate change, deforestation, pollution, and the depletion of natural resources.

This project was created to showcase my typographic and poster design skills. I also took this opportunity to create a supportive motion graphic to support the Earth Day poster.
Earth Day Motion Graphic
This motion graphic is a combination of typography, sound design, and photography assemblage. The visual contains a score that uses sounds of insects, playground ambience, and recycled materials to create an upbeat tempo.

For this motion graphic, I chose to animate the words of the Margaret Mead quote found in the banner above. This project was an exciting experience as I collaborated with peers obtain the voice-over needed to create a friendly tone.
